Physiq uses STEP technology — synchronized sequences of deep heat (via super luminescent diode matrix) and electrical muscle stimulation — to permanently destroy fat cells and re-educate muscle simultaneously. No incisions. No numbing. You can read or scroll your phone during treatment. Start even when you're 20–30 lbs from your goal weight.
Quantum RF delivers pulsed radiofrequency energy through a small 2–3mm incision, melting fat and contracting tissue from within while simultaneously tightening the overlying skin. The only treatment that addresses both fat removal and skin tightening in one session — with results comparable to surgical procedures but without general anesthesia, long scars, or significant downtime. Atlantic Aesthetics is the only provider in Maine offering this technology.
Morpheus8 Deep RF combines fractional microneedling with radiofrequency energy to penetrate deep into the dermis — triggering collagen production, thickening crepey skin, remodeling stretch marks, and treating scars. It does not remove fat. It is the surface finish to Quantum RF or Physiq, or a standalone treatment for patients whose primary concern is skin quality rather than fat.

If you have more significant fat to address — especially with loose skin — Quantum RF delivers the most dramatic results. Similar concept, very different experience. Traditional liposuction physically suctions fat out under general anesthesia with significant recovery time. Physiq has zero downtime — you can go about your day immediately. Quantum RF involves 1–3 weeks of swelling and potential bruising in the treatment area depending on which area is treated, but you can return to work the same day and most patients report little to no pain afterward. Morpheus8 Deep RF has 2–5 days of redness and mild sensitivity. We'll give you personalized pre- and post-care instructions at your consultation.
Fat cells that are destroyed by Physiq or Quantum RF are gone permanently — they cannot regenerate. However, remaining fat cells can still expand if you gain significant weight. Collagen improvements from Morpheus8 Deep RF last 12–18 months before a maintenance session is recommended. We always recommend maintaining results with healthy lifestyle habits and, for Physiq, continuing occasional maintenance sessions.
